President Trump, Insurrectionists, and the Constitution

Image
I am torn over the President sending federal troops into these burning, violence-ridden cities. On the one hand, as much as I am in favor of keeping safe the citizens of what are, in effect, war-torn cities, the Constitution doesn't afford the President the ability to bring in federal troops without the Legislators or Governor of a State or, I believe, the Mayor or elected Sheriff of a besieged city, making a specific request. On the other hand, if the Legislators and Governor of a State or the Mayor of a City ignores and allows unfettered violence, rioting, and destruction of property and life without deploying police or the National Guard to protect its citizenry, aren't they themselves endangering the citizens of that State or City? Insurrection, as defined by Merriam-Webster would seem to apply here. The fact the Legislators, Governors, and Mayors of these burning states and cities outright refuse to enforce laws that would suppress the violence and thus prote...

The Whistleblower, the Lawyer and the TDS Impeachment Fantasy

Image
Oh boy. This just gets better and better! Background - The latest savior-in-waiting in the Loony-Liberal-Get-Trump scheme is a supposed "whistleblower" who claims President Trump - in a phone call to the Ukrainian President - attempted to extort personally beneficial information on a political opponent.  The "whistleblower" first went to Representative Adam Schiff (D) with the story before filing a complaint. Adam Schiff maintained he had no contact with the "whistleblower" before hearing of the complaint - his statement turned out to be a lie. Fact - The form used to file this type of complaint clearly says the whistleblower must have "first-hand knowledge" of the allegations. The form was changed just days before the "whistleblower's" complaint was released to the public.  The new form had an added box that asked the filer if the information included was first or second hand.  The "whistleblower" did not have first-...

Hong Kong, Anger and the Progressive Left

Image
The people of Hong Kong are fighting in the streets for the very freedoms we take for granted, battling a government and choice politicians now backed by China. As they protest in the city they wave the American flag - known around the world as the symbol of freedom - and they beg President Trump to "liberate" the city while singing the Star-Spangled Banner.   It's heartbreaking to watch.  A free people who are faced with a tyrannical government wishing to oppress them, to force submission, to enslave them, a tyrannical government that has murdered millions over the last 70 years, all in the name of Communism - and it's happening in real-time, as we watch. Back at the ranch here in the United States, the Progressive Left kneels with disgust at the sight of the Stars and Stripes. A truly fascist outfit named "Antifa" violently silences those voices who disagree with them, while liberal, university professors work to ban speech and Halloween costumes ...

California Cars and the Power of "Bite Me"

Image
California.  Land of the Progressive. Land of the One-percenter. Land of the Trump Hater. Land of Highest State Income Taxes. Land of the Highest State Debt. Land of the Highest Homeless rate. Land of the 4th Highest Income Equality. California is like a bad Irwin Allen movie - which is saying something as far as disasters go. And now they are in the news again as President Trump filed suit against California's new emission requirements - lower than Federal requirements for automakers - claiming California does not have "... the authority to set its own fuel economy standards as well as emission standards for greenhouse gases." Car companies, including Chrysler, GM, Toyota and others, stand with President Trump.   I think the easiest way to handle the situation is for the car companies to grow a pair and tell California Socialist Democrats to "Bite me!" Simple. What exactly would California do if all the car companies said, "F...

On Display - The Bias Against Trump

Image
biased adjective :  having or showing a bias:   having or showing an unfair  [emphasis added] tendency to believe that some people, ideas, etc., are better or worse than others At what point do those on the Left show some stones and admit what the world knows -  "We hate President Trump because he beat our God Queen Hillary Clinton." I mean, honestly, isn't that what this all comes down to?  All the media and politically manufactured "scandals", "controversies" and "bombshells"?  All the vitriol, lies investigations and constant, 24-7 attacks upon a duly-elected President who is - get this - actually following through on his campaign promises? It's insanity.  It's vicious.  It's malicious.   The economy?  Well, that was all Obama!  Trump is just riding on Obama's coattails!  Record low Unemployment?  It was already coming down under Obama!  Trump is riding on Obama's coat...

IG Report, Clinton 2020 and a Theory

Image
All b.s. aside, and just so we are crystal clear,  this attempted impeachment of a duly elected and lawfully sitting President isn't an aberration from the Progressives.  It's not out of left-field.  It's not a rarity when it comes to the Dem's hatred of those who fight against their progressive agenda. It's important you fathom the depths of the Lefts frothing contempt of anything that stands in the way of their game-plan to turn this country into a globalist loving, socialist hellhole, at any cost... The Democrats have filed "Articles of Impeachment" against five of the last six Republican Presidents. Though these investigations were partisan and went nowhere (w ith the noted exception of Nixon) , it doesn't exclude the fact that except for President Ford - who was in office for just 2.5 years - every Republican President since Eisenhower has had Articles of Impeachment filed against them. Time and taxpayer money wasted on frivolous, petty a...
