Hong Kong, Anger and the Progressive Left

The people of Hong Kong are fighting in the streets for the very freedoms we take for granted, battling a government and choice politicians now backed by China. As they protest in the city they wave the American flag - known around the world as the symbol of freedom - and they beg President Trump to "liberate" the city while singing the Star-Spangled Banner.

It's heartbreaking to watch.  A free people who are faced with a tyrannical government wishing to oppress them, to force submission, to enslave them, a tyrannical government that has murdered millions over the last 70 years, all in the name of Communism - and it's happening in real-time, as we watch.

Back at the ranch here in the United States, the Progressive Left kneels with disgust at the sight of the Stars and Stripes. A truly fascist outfit named "Antifa" violently silences those voices who disagree with them, while liberal, university professors work to ban speech and Halloween costumes that "offends" them. Our MSM shamelessly pushes a Socialist/Communism agenda while our Constitution is not only besieged but is under brutal attack from those who swore a solemn oath to protect it (our elected officials). And anyone named to the Supreme Court who is a Constitutional Originalist - someone who rules by the exact text of the Founders "grand experiment in liberty" - are called 'radical, right-wing, conservative ideologues.'

I remember back in the 1970s when I was first able to vote, the sight of someone on the ballot running as a Communist or a Socialist was beyond my intellectual grasp - it was a stunning shock - and though their vote totals were minuscule and their political beliefs went against everything we stood for as a nation, they were allowed to say what they wanted, believe in what they wanted and live their lives the way they wanted, because this is the United States of  America, where everyone's Rights are protected from the tyranny of government.  We were happy to appropriate Evelyn Beatrice Halls' quote "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death, your right to say it."

But oh, how times change. Now we live in a country at the precipice of civil war.  The Left has banded together in a concerted - let's call it what it is, a treasonous - years-long effort to overthrow a duly elected President.  They have illegally pushed through four separate investigations into the President and his dealings - all ending without any evidence of wrong-doing - and instead of being overjoyed he was found innocent, they get down in the mud with the dregs of the Progressive Left Media and begin again with more unfounded allegations, secret investigations, and attacks on anyone who disagrees with them or might shine the light of truth into their dark hearts - all while claiming they are supporting the Constitution.  When it comes to the Progressive left and those in this country who support them and their Socialist agenda, views, dreams, and wishes, I find myself frustrated and perplexed by their beliefs.

But mostly, I'm just angry.

I'm angry at those Progressives who are blind to the similarities of the Hong Kongese fight against a tyrannical government and the attempt by those same Progressives to oppress our Rights, here and now in our own country.  I'm angry at those who are trying to silence me because I don't agree with them, and those who look down at me because I believe in God, Family, the Second Amendment, and the fact there are only two sexes. I am angry at the constant belittlement of those who believe in this great Nation and the Constitution we live under... and would die for.  I am angry at the elitist, self-serving politicians who pander to the Left, just to remain in office, and the MSM for the constant lies and ruthless, wretched unfounded allegations about the President, and their alliances with the Democratic Party.

I am angry at the stupidity of people who believe the 'Government' can cure all ills and those who feel they have a right to the earnings of those who worked for it.  I am angry at those who serve up victimhood - instead of personal responsibility - as a viable way of life.  I am angry at those who believe globalization is better than the greatest country this world has ever seen, and  I am angry there are people in Hong Kong who know what real freedom is, while the Progressives here are as clueless as a frog in a slowly heating pot of water... and I'm tired of the Left's poisonous hatred of those who voted for a President who has done nothing but kept his promises while enriching our country and our lives.

This next year is going to be tough. It will be a constant barrage of rhetoric, hatred, lies, and vitriol.  But we must remain strong. We cannot take for granted - not for one second - the hard-fought wins of November 8th, 2016.  We must fight - and win - one more time.  Just once more.  A win in 2020 for the President and Senate will secure the Supreme Court for two generations - and along with it, our Constitution and the end of the Progressive Left. If you add in the House it will be smooth sailing through 2024, for, with SCOTUS ruling as the Founders intended, the Progressive Left's agenda and Rights oppressing legislation will be overturned, again and again, leaving them impotent like the old cobra in Kipling's "Jungle Book - The King's Ankus" - their venom dried up, their fangs gone.

I look forward to that time.

And for those who think it's been a helluva ride so far, wait until President Trump doesn't have to worry about re-election.  You will truly know the meaning of "going out with guns blazing."

heh heh heh.
