No one will - or should - trust the outcome of this election.
It's that simple, isn't it? You will be forced to accept the outcome of the courts, but let's face it, you will forever doubt its veracity... and that, in a very small and nuanced way, says everything about Democrats and the Donald J. Trump Presidency.
At this time, the election is still being counted, but those on the Left are floating on Cloud Nine! Why? Because in their heart of hearts, they know the count will continue till Trump is defeated, and their nightmare, where Hillary Clinton lost to the loud, coarse, and uncouth Trump - the monkey wrench thrown into the Democratic Socialist machine - is finally over, and even as they suspect the truth, that the election is actually being stolen, they are not only fine with that but will celebrate the outcome... because the "ends justify the means," and the "ends" are ousting Trump at any cost.
And if Trump should somehow win? Well, hell, we will just go back to court and make that win as costly as possible, using the hard currency of Political Capitol.
Of course, as this morning dawns, the Right is heartbroken. Why? Because in their heart of hearts, they know the count will continue, on and on, day after day, lawsuit after lawsuit, till Biden wins. And with a loss and their suspicions validated, how are they not to believe this election was stolen? How are they not going to look at the Deep-State swamp and wonder?
Using the Fake News media's 24-hour a day terror attack of doom and gloom to instill a raging fear of COVID (and Trump), they kept control of the populace while pushing for mail-in ballots to be sent to every registered voter, allowing them to stay boarded up in their homes, 'staying safe' from the deadly, viscous, and unstoppable COVID virus, as brave USPS carriers risked life and limb to deliver their ballots. But what was the real reason for the push of mail-in ballots? It was not because of COVID, and not because of concerns for your health, no, it was due to the Democrats very real concern that historically, Democrats don't turn out to vote on election day. Democrats are fervent, they are loud, but to actually get out, stand in line and vote? Not so much. So the only way to get the turnout needed to make a race of it was to send ballots to every single voter and implore them to vote, sign and lick a stamp.
Why did Republicans hate this idea? Because, again, it was seen as a blatant ploy to scramble the election and give the Left a viable case of 'reasonable suspicion' to go to court should the unbelievable happen, and Trump won. It would create enough confusion and doubt to allow them to claim victory, to claim interference, to claim fraud, etc. And even if Trump won out, it would set up a long-range defensive plan - another four years of investigations, allegations, cries of interference and election fraud, and public hearings that would again stall a Trump Presidency.
It's a shame, really. A crying shame. Truthfully, this morning my heart hurts for my country. And I'm not talking about who will become President, I'm talking about what this country has become. How we have taken the precipitous route of purposely impugning the integrity of our elections for Party gain. How we have attempted to further destroy voter faith in our government - no matter how misguided that faith may sometimes be. How we have abandoned the country, the constitution, and the electorate in a divisive and reckless push towards socialism.
As of this writing, the outcome of our election is still unknown.
But as of this writing, this 2020 election and how our country has reacted since 2016 to a duly elected President has already impacted the future of this country in ways so profound we may not comprehend them until it is too late.
As the old adage says, "Be careful what you wish for."
