Why The GOP Should Stand Down on a Biden Impeachment

Why in the world would the Republicans in the House begin an impeachment investigation into the leader of this country (in name only) Joe "lying, dog-faced pony soldier" Biden?

In what universe is this a good idea?

The Democrats want Joe Biden out of the White House, I think we can all agree on that, and when the MSM is touting the wrongs done by Hunter Biden, when liberal politicos are agreeing that President Trump was correct when he called out the Hunter Biden laptop story as truth hidden by the government to interfere with an American Election, you know there is something rotten in a 'Banana Republic' like the good ol' US of A!

So what exactly should the GOP do?

Nothing.  Nada.  Zip.

As a precursor to what will happen should the House impeach the President, when House Speaker McCarthy announced the opening of an investigation on "Crack Pipe" Hunter and Joe "Wait...what? Hunh?" Biden, Senator Schumer had this to say...

"These investigations don’t matter to the average American people. This is the right wing, the hard right wing talking to each other. Let them keep talking to each other. We’re talking to the American people..." and "The Republicans are investigating, we are investing in the American People..."

Do you see what happened there?

If the GOP moves forward with investigations and Articles of Impeachment, which is exactly what the Democrats want, the Dems will use it as a cudgel against the GOP. The Democrats will use the impeachment investigations to roil up their base against the hated GOP - which they will claim is weaponizing its power in the House to retaliate for the "justified" indictments against the evil Trump - while derisively laughing at us as they sit down at the table to eat their cake too.

Why would we do that?  Why play those cards?  Why not just fold and let the Dems play their own hand?  What if we did absolutely nothing?  

For all practical purposes, we would end up saving millions of dollars of taxpayer money for an impeachment that would be voted down in the Senate!  So we get nothing for the effort except ridicule from every news outlet, politico, and Democrat, while those same Democrats receive voter cache to be used in November of 2024.

If the House were to go ahead with an investigation, another possibility is the House sends articles of impeachment to the Senate. The Democrat Senate could then sacrifice one or two of their own to vote along with the GOP and impeach Biden, again using the GOP to wash Biden out of their hair.  The two Senators would come from staunch Dem strongholds so there would be no fear of repercussions from voters in their States.  Again the Dems would bemoan the GOP for "threatening our Democracy" and brandishing its power as a weapon against Joe "don't tell your Mother" Biden using whatever trite untruth they choose to roll out.

So what should the GOP do?  How can they turn this into something that hurts the Democrats and helps the GOP?  

Well, for starters, do nothing.  Stop all investigations.  Explain to the public it is too close to the elections. We can't get it done soon enough. We don't want to waste taxpayer money and resources knowing the Democrat Senate would never vote impeach, no matter how guilty Joe "your hair smells good, little girl" Biden is.  We don't want to taint the 2024 elections the way the Democrats did in 2020 with the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, so we just have to trust the Joe Biden DOJ - led by Merrick Garland - to investigate the President and his Son.  Lay it all in the laps of the DOJ and FBI, and don't forget to order yourself pizza and beer, because it would be dinner and a show of epic proportions.

So if the GOP sits back and does nothing, what are the Democrat's options?  They don't want Biden running in 2024 -  that much is crystal clear.  So, what then?

The Dems would have to get rid of him themselves. Force them to invoke the 25th Amendment. Or let House Democrats scream for a House investigation into the Biden and Biden criminal duo. McCarthy could then graciously allow the Democrats full access and resources in the House to investigate their own President.  But even then he should stand clear, putting RHINO Republicans on the Dems investigative committee to help them along (where are Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger when you actually need them?).  

At this time McCarthy could well tell the press what a waste of time and money this is.  Then lament how an investigation and possible impeachment would only distract from the elections, and it would run too far into an election cycle already in full swing. Make the Democrats defend their decision, and press them hard.  And then?  Vote against the impeachment in the House so it never gets to the Senate.

At this point, the Democrat's options are shrinking.  If they want Joe "Ashley, can you pass me the soap" Biden out of the 2024 election, which they know he would surely lose, then they are forced to use one of two options - The 25th Amendment or pressure Merrick Garland and the DOJ to do their dirty work.  Either one of these options would be very, very messy.

If the DOJ brought Joe "we have over 120 million dead from Covid" Biden up on charges, they would have to admit they knew all along about the Laptop and deep ties to foreign entities, among a waterfall of other troubling evidence, that would look devastatingly bad for the already defensive DOJ and FBI.  Yeah, see how that goes for them. 

So if not that, then it's the 25th Amendment. The 25th Amendment is in place to allow for the smooth transition from a sitting President to the Vice-President for a variety of reasons.  In this case, it would be for Biden's loss of mental acuity - being mentally unfit for office.  This is accomplished in Section 4 of the Amendment by the Vice-President and a majority of Cabinet Heads and Congressional Heads voting to remove the President.

To the Democrat's misfortune, this would bring Kamala Harris in as the First Woman President in the history of our country.  And as she was, unarguably, the absolute worst of any Presidential candidate (Democrat or Republican) in the 2020 field, the Democrats would then be in an uproar attempting to stop Kackling Kamala from running in 2024.  And if you think that hag is going quietly into that good night, you are probably standing in line for your 12th booster shot of the Covid 19 (not a) vaccine as you read this.

In the end, Joe "I like plagiarizing" Biden would be out of the 2024 elections, but the damage caused would be done by the Democrat's own hand, maybe more than their Democrat voters would stand for.  And as for the Republicans?  We stayed above the fray.  We left the Dems High and Dry.  We gave them as much rope as they wanted. We could then go on every news outlet and "tsk tsk tsk" the Democrats for the turmoil, pain, and grief they imposed on the American voters with just 8 - 10 months left in the election cycle.  Hell, even throw in the Democrats are now the "biggest threat to our Republic!"  Yes, let them know we aren't a Democracy, but a Representative (Constitutional) Republic. 

And what if the Democrats did none of this, even if it felt like they were forced to chew tinfoil?  Then we have Joe "Which way did he go" Biden running for President in 2024... And let's face it, that ain't a bad thing.

Of course, the Democrats could go to Hilary and tell her Joe "Cornpop" Biden has been babbling to the conservative news outlets about Benghazi, Clinton / Epstein, Russian Oligarchs, Uranium, etc...

Then the problem just might work itself out on its own.
