Glenbard District 87 - 130,000 Emails Reference Domestic Terrorist Group - Part l

A recently sent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request reveals Glenbard District 87 Administrators, Teachers, and Staff has sent and received 130,000 emails that contain one, some, or all of these phrases or words - BLM, Black Lives Matter, White Privilege, or Racism.  

130,000?!  What in Sam Hill is going on within the school board?!  Why are administrators, teachers, and staff at Glenbard District 87 spending such an exorbitant amount of time and effort writing and receiving emails engaging these subjects?  Why is so much time being spent on a Marxist run, violent, racist group such as Black Lives Matters?  Supporting and agreeing with African Americans that their lives matter is far different than supporting a domestic terrorist group such as BLM. 


According to the FOIA response from Glenbard District 87, there are 1100 email accounts used by the District.  This means, on average, each account has sent or received at least 118 emails containing one or more of those words or phrases, and though I can't really speak for others, to me, this seems a bit much... no?

So, what exactly is going on at Glenbard District 87?

I still don't know, though I'm continuing to hone my search parameters so the FOIA Department at Glenbard District 87 can do their job without being overwhelmed by the sheer volume of emails containing these subjects.

Due to the overwhelming amount of emails that would have to be read to see if anything needed to be redacted before sending out, the District is unable to fulfill my request.  This is wholly understandable, and I, of course, didn't quite expect this seemingly overheated amount of fervor towards BLM and the subject matters of White Privilege and Racism.

I then narrowed my search request to all emails sent or received from 6/1/2020 until the present.  Lo' and behold, my request was again denied due to the crushing load of 74,000 emails sent or received in just the last 100 days pertaining to my search parameters! 

Again, what is going on at Glenbard District 87?  

My initial request was due to concerns of anecdotal reports that some teachers in Glenbard District 87 (and other Districts) are spending their time in class advocating for Black Lives Matter while attempting to indoctrinate students to the Progressive Lefts Socialist view that racism is systemic and White Privilege exists.

Is this really what "English" class is all about?   

It would seem to me Teachers have enough problems just teaching the curriculum they have, without bringing a Progressive, Socialist ideological agenda to the classroom, holding your children hostage.  Your Children!  Not theirs!

Because we teach our children to respect the classroom, the teacher, and other students, most kids will just sit and listen.  It is the rare child who will be able to identify, let alone stand up to this kind of insidious, sinister, and wholly unacceptable indoctrination.  They will not want to challenge their teacher or their ideas.  They will not want to bring down the wrath of other students upon themselves.

And the Socialist Left counts on this.

I stand by this concept... If a student knows the political leanings of a teacher, that teacher should never be allowed in front of a classroom again.  Ever.  

Teachers are not in class to 'mold minds,' nor have they been given permission to be your child's moral compass!  They are there to teach math, science, biology, etc, not anti-American socialist/communist drivel.


I have narrowed my last search to emails between Administrators and Teachers for the month of August 2020.  And if that is still too much, I will narrow it down to one week, or one day, whatever it takes to get to the bottom of this.

And as a matter of question, just what would a Public School District need to have redacted from their emails?  This isn't the Pentagon or the Illinois Legislature.  Hmmm...

    Hi genius,

    That last message is trying to tell you that there are 74k messages to search, not that 74k contain those phrases. Although it would be amusing if they handed you all of those messages and made your search them yourself.

    Ahh... right out of the box a nice snide remark. Classy. No. That is NOT what the last message is telling me. Read it again. "After conducting a search of responsive records," The 74,000 emails were AFTER the search. She is telling me it would take too long to go through those 74,000 results and decide if anything needed to be redacted.

    The wording is no different than the first email response of 130,000 emails. I even asked, as seen in the third email - "I just want to be clear about your response. Am I to understand you have run a search using the parameters I asked for and that search came back with 130,000 emails containing the phrases "BLM" - "Black Lives Matter" - "Racism" - "White Privilege?"

    She responded with "Yes, you were clear on the previous FOIA response."

    I think someone has a comprehension problem... and it ain't me.

    I can only hope that most of the messages are: "your students may come to class wishing to discuss (insert phrases and words you requested). While the issue surrounding (insert phrases and words) may be discussed in terms of current events if appropriate within the course curriculum you are teaching, please be advised that your personal opinion on (these phrases and words) is not appropriate content for any subject you are teaching.

    I completely agree! How wonderful it would be if that were the issue! Sadly, that is not my expectations, however. Hopefully, we'll find out soon enough.
